In 1961, United Garage Limited was awarded the Hertz Rent a Car franchise for the Maltese Islands, which makes it the oldest franchisee in Europe for the world's Number One Rent a Car Company. The Company diversified into the lease market in 1992. This diversification was a natural extension of the vast experience in the renting and maintenance of vehicles within the portfolio of the United Group. In 1996 the Company was awarded the Hertz Lease franchise.
