Blue Grotto , situated in Wied Iz-Zurrieq, is probably one of the most magnificent tour attraction for both the Tourist and the Maltese people. Days trips around Blue Grotto, esploring caves and viewing the wonderful sea and surroundings, makes a trip to Blue Grotto, one that cannot be forgotten.

The grotto is a series of caves, some 8 metres deep, eroded by the sea over thousands of years. The sides are tinted orange by sea anemones and pink and mauve by coral. The radiance under water is striking as the bright light transforms the cave into a blue spectacle. Boat trips from the nearby fishing village of Wied iz-Zurrieq enter the cave complex through the narrow arch called the window.
