The new audio-visual presentation, Tales of the Silent City, is housed on Palazzo Gatto Murina which is the oldest existing house in Mdina that was built by Francesco Gatto in the year 1350. His grandson married Paola Castelli, grand daughter of Gulielmo Murina - hence the name Gatto Murina.

The family crest is engraved on a stone and can be seen on the second floor of this magnificent 14th century palace. Its architecture is mainly Norman style as can be seen from the numerous arches inside the house and on the facade of the house in Gatto-Murina Street. The original front of the house is on Gatto Murina Street where one can still see the magnificent windows.
